A hardworking reporter is out to find a city destroying arsonist in Night Alarm. Hal Ashby (Bruce Cabot) is a nice-guy journalist out to solve the biggest mystery in town: who is starting all these dangerous fires? Ashby suspects a big money industrialist, who uses his shady political contacts to get Ashby fired for accusing him. Down on his luck, Ashby ends up falling in love with a woman who turns out to be the industry tycoon's daughter! The fires keep springing up, and Ashby gets caught in the smoke and mayhem. Night Alarm is rapt with tension and a twisting story that never lets up for a second as the buildings continue to burn down.
